Travel Arraial do Cabo, Brazil

East of Rio lies a stretch of beaches, all of which are beautiful and have their own unique vibe. Arrial do Cabo, though, is something special. When you enter town a sign proclaims that this is "where the sun spends the winter." It is easy to feel that this little fishing town, with the peninsula all to itself, is its own world, removed from everything else.

Some of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil are an easy 15-minute stroll from the bus station, while others are an easy boat ride away on Ilha de Cabo Frio. Arraial do Cabo is also a good location for humpback whale watching as their migration route passes just offshore.
