During carnival, unlike most towns, Itacare blasts reggae all week long.
The main road in Itacaré, Rua Pedro Longo, is lined with pousadas and restaurants, as well as some good local shops. If you follow this road east, out of town, you will come across some of the area’s most spectacular beaches.
